Dr. Miller specializes in the evaluation of children and adolescents who experience various learning and attention disorders, neurodevelopmental, genetic, medical, and neurological conditions.
Dr. Miller provides neuropsychological evaluations to children and adolescents who are experiencing learning and attention issues which may or may not stem from complex medical issues including acquired brain disorders, neurodevelopmental and congenital disorders, concussion and traumatic brain injuries, perinatal stroke, in utero exposure to substances, or effects of chemotherapy. Dr. Miller specializes in the integration of neuropsychological assessment and educational planning of cognitive and behavioral changes associated with neurodevelopmental disorders and acquired brain injuries.
Dr. Miller conducts comprehensive assessments of cognitive, educational, and emotional functioning, and tailors each evaluation to address the specific concerns of the patient. She provides detailed feedback sessions with families that include information about cognitive strengths and weaknesses, learning styles, emotional and behavioral factors, and diagnostic impressions. Integral to the feedback session is providing parents with concrete recommendations for how to facilitate their child’s success in key areas of functioning at home and school. Through comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation, parents will gain insight into their child's overall functioning and strategies to facilitate their learning and development.
